The development of a new 1,300 pupil high school was to replace obsolete building stock with a variety of new facilities. The school is located in a conservation area enjoying superb views. The design allows the spaces to maximise both the views and building efficiency. These are designed as a series of simple but flexibly planned, environmentally sustainable elements, the school facilities are linked by bright social spaces allowing them to balance their identities with the efficient use of mutual spaces.
